I am such a bad blogger! Have I really not posted anything since February? Oops!
Hmm... where do I start?
Well, we no longer live on the East coast. We made the big trip cross country back in July and have been here in Lemoore, CA since the end of July. Lemoore is a lot like our home town in NV. It is really small and there are a lot of farms around. The base is REALLY small compared to Camp Lejeune! It is also different being on a Navy base vs. a Marine base. I am slowly getting used to all the Navy stuff.
We arrived in Lemoore at the end of July and moved into our house on August 12, Nathan's 4th birthday! Don't worry, we managed to sneak in a trip to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate.
Our house is a 4 bedroom duplex. I was a little leery about living in a duplex at first but it has worked out great. We are good friends with our neighbors and their children. I love our neighborhood. There are tons of kids around Nathan and Ericka's ages for them to play with. Our street ends in a culdesac so it is perfect for them to ride bikes on.
The hospital is quite a bit smaller here, and I think Justin likes that. He is not on call nearly as much as he used to be and he doesn't have to do hardly any of the OB stuff. We are loving being able to spend more time with him! We live about a 2 minutes from the hospital and when Justin is on call it is "home" call, meaning he does not need to stay at the hospital. Oh, and he is board certified now!! We are so proud of him and all of his hard work!!
Ericka is in 2nd grade now and doing very well. I was worried that she would have problems moving from a DOD ( department of defense ) school to a public school but she has done fine. She does miss her teachers and some of the classes they did at her old school but doesn't complain. Her teacher is very happy with her and has been great!
Nathan goes to a preschool program on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 hours each day. He really likes it and asks me EVERY day if he has school. He can't wait to start kindergarten!
I am doing pretty well here so far. I love being so much closer to our family. I am hoping the kids, especially Nathan, get to know their west coast family better. So far, we have visited with my mom, grandma, aunt, and 2 brothers. We have visited both of Justin's sisters and his mom. We also visited with Justin's dad and aunt in Oklahoma on our to CA from NC.
All is well with baby number 3. He is kicking harder every day! It is hard to believe that I only have about 12 more weeks of being pregnant! I don't have a date for my c-section yet but the hospital only does them on Mondays here so I'm thinking it will probably be either Jan. 31 or Feb. 7th 2011. We still haven't decided on a name for him, though. I hope one comes to us soon!
Well, that is about all I can think of for right now. I still need to work on keeping my blog current and add some pictures. If I can get them off the "big" computer I will add them on later.
